Morningstar Farms Veggie Crumbles
Yes, we tried another meatless product - the Morningstar Veggie Crumbles. Guess what the main ingredient is....TVP! Remember TVP? Textured Vegetable Protein. I had flashbacks of the 70's, yes-sir! How did we like it? Read on...
We tried this product using it in chili. It has ground beef taste and substitutes well for ground beef. The crumbles contain 78% less fat than ground beef. One 12 oz pkg of Grillers Veggie Recipe Crumbles is equal to 1-lb of uncooked ground beef. It's vitamin content has 20-30% of Vitamin B's in the recommended daily requirement.
Our chili was excellent and combined with the beans and tomatoes we were eating very healthy which also makes us happy - Happy and Healthy!
