Kirkland White Albacore Tuna

I know I write a lot about Tuna, but it is a big staple at our house. I have to admit, though, that until now, we've just used the regular tuna "chunk light" and not "chunk white." Do I think there is a difference in the taste - there definitely is in price!

We were at Costco one day last week, and you know all of those sample tables where people gather and sample? I rarely stop at any, but this particular sample has had me curious for a long time.

The "sample lady" had mixed Kirkland White Albacore Tuna, a 6 oz can, with some mayonnaise and served it on a saltine cracker. I do declare, that tasted so good. I refrained from asking for another sample and did buy the pack of them. The cost breaks down to about $1 a can and are packed in 6-8 cans per pack.

The albacore white tuna is a lighter tuna and the taste is milder than regular tuna fish. For a couple of us, price wise, it is a good option. If you're feeding the whole crew, stick with the regular tuna. Just hide the albacore tuna in the back of the cupboard because it will get eaten first.

Until next time...
~Paula
